A tribute to Kiribati, woven into every thread.
The zigzag pattern is a nod to one of football's most iconic templates, the "bruised banana," reimagined here with a Kiribati twist, blending the shirt's classic geometry with motifs drawn from traditional Micronesian tattoo art. Beneath the red of the national flag lies the texture of a Kabae, a traditional male dance mat worn in Kiribati costume, referencing the island's rich dance heritage. The colours and angles of the zigzag itself were drawn from aerial views of Kiribati's atolls, the shape of the reef, lagoon, and shoreline reimagined as pattern.
The result: a shirt that carries Kiribati's land, culture, and identity into every stitch.
